About Chandra

For over 30 years, I have worked as a therapist in community health clinics, foster care settings, special needs schools, and private practice. I am deeply committed to supporting adults and young people as they cultivate self-compassion, heal trauma, build confidence, and develop an authentic sense of self. My work often focuses on helping clients navigate life transitions and, for young people, the path toward independent adulthood.

I offer highly individualized, collaborative therapy that adapts to your unique needs, personality, and comfort level. I bring extensive experience working with neurodiverse and highly sensitive individuals, as well as clients who identify as BIPOC and LGBTQ+. I also support parents, caregivers, and those facing health challenges, complex trauma, or major life transitions.

My approach is shaped by more than three decades of meditation and Buddhist practice, along with my own therapeutic journey. This allows me to bring presence, perspective, and deep compassion into the therapeutic relationship, creating a space where clients feel seen, respected, and supported.

I provide creative, strength-based, and research-informed therapy that honors the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. My work integrates neuroscience, mindfulness, and Buddhist understanding through a trauma-informed and social justice-oriented lens. My goal is to gently and thoughtfully support each client on their unique path as they navigate relationships, emotions, and their search for meaning, hope, and joy.

Outside of my work, I enjoy traveling, spending time with friends, attending meditation retreats, and playing at the beach with my wife and our two dogs.

“Suffering is not enough. Life is both dreadful and wonderful...How can I smile when I am filled with so much sorrow? It is natural--you need to smile to your sorrow because you are more than your sorrow.”
